PORCH PROGRAM

 

Hello, good friends.  In spite of a rainy and windy weekend we collected 496 pounds of food in October, bringing our total to 13,820 pounds!  Bravo!!

 

The next PORCH food collection is the Thanksgiving FoodDrive and so very important to meet the needs of our very vulnerable neighbors.  It will be on

November 7, 8, 9…Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 7pm.

We will be sorting food on Monday, Nov. 10 at 1:00 at 7016 Sevilleen Dr. SW.  We will be packing and delivering to the Lord’s Pantry in Shallotte on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at noon. Meet at 7016 Sevilleen Dr SW to load the cars and to deliverimmediately afterward. Please consider volunteering for either day. Just text me your name and availability and I’ll add you to the list.  If you would prefer to email, please contact me at the email below.

 

       ​  Here are a few suggestions that are always needed:

THINK THANKSGIVING!

Stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, instant potatoes, yams, vegies, Jiffy mix, 

Cereal, oatmeal, grits

Canned fruit

Canned vegetables, potatoes

Canned soup, chili

Canned pasta, mac and cheese

Canned/dried beans of any kind

Canned tuna/chicken/protein

Peanut butter/jelly

Instant potatoes, canned sweet potatoes, rice

Pasta, tomato sauce

Boxed milk, juice

Cake mixes, canned frosting

Birthday Box donations: any flavor cake mix, Funfetti frosting, candles
